Collection: Garden Collection

These paintings are from my "Views from a Donegal Garden" series.

In this series each painting is a different view from a wild mountainside garden in West Donegal where I spent a week. From this garden in Meensillagh there were majestic views of the valley and three townlands - Kiltyfanned, Bangort and Port.

Over the mountain to the back of the garden lay the almost mythical valley Glenlough, where there used to be a small settlement but was only ever reached on foot. These paintings began as sketches in the garden when the summer was at it's height. There were blue skies and the air alive with the hum of bees.
