About the Artist.
Irish Artist Bríd óg Norrby has lives on her home farm in the North Kildare countryside. She graduated in 1999 from the Dublin Institute of Technology with a BA in Fine Art (sculpture). She has exhibited widely throughout the country in selected groups exhibitions, joint exhibitions and a solo show in the Riverbank Arts Centre. For the last few years she has also been teaching watercolours to adults and teenagers in Florence and Milly’s studio in Clane.
"Walking around the farm and surrounding countryside, I am struck by simple motifs for my paintings and drawings. Sunlight hitting a distant field, the scraggy outline of a hawthorn hedge or interlacing leaves against a fading evening sky.
I am constantly inspired by the wonders of our skies….the ever changing light and how it plays on our land.
My work is nature based and direct from the source. Starting all my work outdoors, it evolves with the seasons. By really experiencing nature I try to capture the essence and atmosphere of the landscape which I hope you will get a sense of as you browse through my work".
Here's what one customer had to say about the painting that she purchased-
My paintings will give you a glance at some of the wilder and hidden places in the country, and up close to the nature that surrounds me".
For every piece of artwork sold a native Irish tree will be planted, so you'll also be doing your bit to help combat climate change and protect our precious wildlife.For any inquires or commissions please feel free to contact me by;
