Two old pine trees stand like old soldiers, at the end of the field against the fading light. On Winter evening walks I’m always racing against the sun to catch the last of the light, trying to get outside before it disappears . As we crawl to the 21th of December the sun sinks below the horizon earlier and earlier.
For me I head to the top field and to watch the last light glimmer through branches.
